Semi-truck collision injures Umatilla woman

A Umatilla woman was injured after a semi-truck struck the car she was in 30 miles south of Kennewick, said the Washington State Patrol.

Semi-truck driver Michael D. Greeno, 54, of Stanfield, Oregon, failed to slow down and hit a Nissan Versa driven by Isabel Cruz Jimenez, 20, of Pasco, the state patrol said. Both vehicles were traveling westbound on Highway 14 about 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Onorina Borboa, 61, a passenger in the car, was taken to Trios Southridge Hospital in Kennewick with unknown injuries.

Greeno was cited for second-degree negligent driving with inattention as the cause, the state patrol said.

The drivers of the vehicles were not injured, the state patrol said.
