Improper lane use to blame for Pasco wreck

Improper lane use is to blame for a two-vehicle crash Friday on Highway 395 in Pasco, the Washington State Patrol said.

Constance V. Dowell, 22, of Richland, was driving north on the highway near the Interstate 182 interchange about 12:15 p.m. when she attempted to change lanes and struck a semi-truck with trailer traveling north in another lane, the state patrol said.

Dowell’s black 2013 Nissan Versa was totaled and she was taken to Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco with unknown injuries, the state patrol said. James A. Haden, 66, of Kent, the driver of the 2007 Peterbilt semi, was not injured.

Dowell was cited for improper lane use, the state patrol said.
