Three injured Highway 395 rollover outside Pasco
Three people were injured early Thursday morning in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 395 north of Pasco when one of the vehicles rolled off the highway and landed on its top.
Marvella Uriostegui, 31, of Pasco, was northbound in a Mazda MPV minivan when she slowed down for farm equipment on the road just south of the intersection with Crestloch Road, the Washington State Patrol reported.
Raquel Rodriguez, 23, of Pasco, was following Uriostegui in a Toyota Camry and ran into her about 8:13 a.m. The collision sent the minivan off the road. The Camry went across the median and came to rest on the inside shoulder of the highway’s southbound lanes.
Both drivers were injured, as was Hilda Uriostegui-Garcia, 63, of Pasco, a passenger in Uriostegui’s minivan. Rodriguez was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center while Uriostegui and Uriostegui-Garcia were taken to Lourdes Medical Center.
Rodriguez was cited for following too closely. Officials said the crash was the second one to occur on that stretch of highway in the past week.
