A 2-year-old boy found unresponsive Wednesday in a Kennewick hot tub has died.

Police were called to a home in the 4800 block of West Ninth Avneue after Gage Percifield was found under water in the hot tub. He was taken to the emergency room at Trios Southridge Hospital but could not be revived.

Police are investigating and an autopsy is scheduled for June 11.

“It appears to be a tragic accident,” said Benton County Chief Deputy Coroner Roy McLean.

Family members have started a Go Fund Me fundraising account to help Gage’s family with arrangements. It can be found here.
