Counterfeit money circulating in Kennewick

Kennewick police are warning residents to be on the lookout for counterfeit money seen more frequently in recent days.

Fake $10, $20 and $50 bills have been used in purchases at local businesses, putting business owners at a loss. The counterfeit bills are used largely so those passing them can get change in real currency.
