Othello man injured in Friday evening wreck

An Othello man was injured Friday evening in a two-car crash two miles east of Othello, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Vanessa Smith, 27, of Moses Lake, was driving east on Cunningham Road before turning onto northbound Highway 17 in front of a southbound Ford pickup, driven by Larry Samuels, 53, of Moses Lake, the state patrol said.

Smith struck the driver’s side of the pickup injuring her passenger, Travis E. Smith, 26, of Othello, who was taken to Othello Community Hospital with unknown injuries, the state patrol said.

Neither driver was injured.

Smith was cited for failing to yield, the state patrol said.
