Prosser driver hurt when car turns into her path

A Prosser woman was hurt Thursday afternoon when car turned in front of her pickup on Gap Road at Interstate 82 at Prosser.

Bertha A. Ambriz, 55, was driving south on Gap Road in a Nissan pickup about 1:20 p.m. when an oncoming Honda Civic turned left into her path, said the Washington State Patrol.

The Honda’s driver Maria D. Torres, 43, of Prosser, was not injured but faces a charge of failing to yield the right of way. Ambriz, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to Prosser Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.
