Police: Intoxicated driver hit hydrant, caused crash in Kennewick
Kennewick police arrested a woman for intoxicated driving late Wednesday night after she allegedly caused a crash and property damage along Clearwater Avenue.
Officers were called out after receiving reports of a car driving against traffic in the westbound lanes of Clearwater Avenue near Quay Street, a release said. At one point the car veered off the roadway, striking a fire hydrant and some bushes.
The car continued on and ended up rear-ending a minivan stopped for a traffic light at Clearwater Avenue and Highway 395 intersection.
Rebecca Bryden was booked into the Benton County jail on suspicion of DUI and hit and run.
