Kennewick officers Taser knife-wielding man (w/video)

Kennewick police arrested a man Wednesday evening in downtown Kennewick after he reportedly pulled out a knife and began threatening people.

The man was reportedly getting in the way of some railroad traffic near East First Avenue and Gum Street near the cable bridge.

When police tried to talk with him he pulled a large knife from his backpack, according to police Sgt. Randy Maynard.

The man allegedly damaged at least one police car and possibly some other cars before officers managed to use a Taser to subdue him, he said.

The man’s name was not immediately available.
