Kennewick man arrested as he flees out window with child

A Kennewick man was arrested Saturday morning after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend and then attempted to flee by climbing out a bedroom window with her child.

Officers dealt with Ryan J. Muth, 25, and his girlfriend Friday night after they got into an argument and he left the apartment. He returned on Saturday and officers were called again when his girlfriend went on their balcony and yelled for someone to call 911 because Muth was choking her.

When officers arrived they found Muth climbing out the window with the child. He was arrested and booked into the Benton County jail for fourth-degree assault. The child was returned to its mother.
