Man following ducks on Hwy 240 in Kennewick causes crash, injuries
A Pasco man was cited by state troopers Sunday evening for causing a crash on Highway 240 as a car tried to avoid him as he followed a family of ducks on foot.
Robert L. Fromm, 46, was reportedly in the righthand eastbound lane behind the duck family near the Edison Street overpass, a Washingotn State Patrol release said, though details about how he and the ducks got onto the highway were not provided.
A Honda Pilot driven by Victor R. Barillas Alvarado, 36, of Kennewick, stopped to avoid hitting Fromm and the ducks. That led Crystal R. Kruska, 32, of Kennewick, to run into the back of the Pilot with her Toyota Corolla.
Kruska and a 4-year-old boy riding in her car were injured and taken to Trios Health. Their conditions were not immediately available. Barillas Alvarado and Fromm were not injured.
From was cited for disorderly conduct.
