Kennewick police rescue dogs from canal
Two dogs were rescued Sunday from a canal by Kennewick police after two children saw the dogs struggling.
The kids had already called animal control but were unable to reach the site immediately, a release said. A police officer arrived and managed to get the dogs out. Police did not say which canal the dogs were found in.
The dogs were not injured and were turned over to animal control. Their owner has reportedly retrieved them from authorities.
