UPDATE: Victim of fatal motorcycle wreck in Columbia Park identified (w/video)

The victim of a fatal motorcycle crash in Columbia Park late Sunday has been identified as a Kennewick man.

Ian Williams, 40, died of blunt force trauma as a result of the crash, said Roy McLean, deputy coroner with the Benton County Coroner’s Office. No autopsy is planned. Samples were taken for toxicology tests but there is no immediate indication Williams was intoxicated.

Motorists driving through the area just before 10 p.m. Sunday found Williams and his motorcycle in the center of the flag pole roundabout.

The first arriving officers determined the male driver had died at the scene, according to a press release. The crash is still under investigation.
