Kennewick girl injured in crash east of Burbank

A teen girl from Kennewick was injured late Friday in a two-car crash about 20 miles east of Burbank.

The 13-year-old was riding in a Dodge Neon driven by Christopher Hindman, 32, also of Kennewick, heading east on Highway 124, according to the Washington State Patrol. They were struck by a Dodge Ram pickup driven by Erica A. Vedder, 49, of Dayton.

The girl was taken to Dayton General Hospital and her status was not available. Neither Vedder nor Hindman was injured and both vehicles were driven from the scene.

The cause is under investigation and charges are pending.
