Prosser man arrested for child porn
A Prosser man was arrested Thursday by federal and local investigators for allegedly possessing nude photographs of a minor child.
Stephen J. Castilleja, 27, is an employee of the Granger School District, police said. There is no known connection with Granger students and this investigation.
Castilleja was booked into the Benton County jail, police said.
Granger Superintendent Margarita Lopez told the Yakima Herald-Republic that the teacher is on paid administrative leave and that the district was working with law enforcement.
The man has been certified as a Washington teacher for less than a year, according to a school employee database maintained by the Kitsap Sun newspaper.
Investigators include the South-East Regional Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, U. S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations, Kennewick and Richland police and the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.
