Pasco burglary suspect ran but couldn’t hide
A Pasco burglary suspect is in custody after help from the public and the Washington State Patrol.
A citizen took a photo and called Pasco police Thursday morning about a man who appeared to be stealing items on the 3700 block of West Wernett Road.
When police arrived, the man took off through a vineyard. Officers tried to contain the area about 8:20 a.m. and use a police dog to search for him, but he slipped away and ended up on the highway.
That’s where a WSP trooper caught him. He was later identified as Ronald Balke, 32, and was taken to the Franklin County jail.
