Hermiston shooting sends man, teen to hospital

Two people were shot in Hermiston early Sunday, according to the Hermiston Police Department.

Officers received a call around 3:16 a.m. about shots being fired on the 600 block of S.E. Fourth Street. Shortly afterward, they were notified by Good Shepherd Hospital that two people had arrived separately at the emergency room with apparent gunshot wounds.

Adalberto Flores, 20, of Hermiston, and a 17-year-old from Hermiston were sent to another hospital for further treatment, according to a police report. Their injuries did not appear to be life threatening.

Hermiston officers have arrested Lalo Murillo, 21, of Hermiston, on suspicion of a probation violation, police said.

The Oregon State Police Forensic Division spent the day processing evidence and diagramming the incident scene.
