Burglars who broke into some west Pasco homes lit candles, wrote on the interior walls and took snacks from a pantry in at least one home.

Pasco police were called to several burglary reports in the area around Chapel Hill Boulevard and Road 84 on Tuesday, a release said. Along with the candles and vandalism, police said they also found a clear handprint on one of the windows the burglars used to enter the home.

“We will gladly take that to run through the database to identify you,” police said. “It was so very considerate of you.”

Police also urged residents to call in and report any suspicious activity in their neighborhoods.
