A Kennewick woman who claimed someone entered her apartment and cut a hole in the wall to get into her neighbor’s apartment has been arrested.

Rosie Abate originally reported that someone broke into her apartment while she was gone, Kennewick police said. However, witnesses told officers that Abate had told others of her plans and even showed off the hole she’d cut in her apartment’s wall.

Abate has admitted her involvement in the scheme, police said.
