Man who died at Kennewick shooting range identified
The man who shot himself Friday at a Kennewick shooting range has been identified as a retired real estate specialist with the U.S. military.
No autopsy is planned for Anthony Navarro Rodriguez, 48, of Shoreline, Wash., according to the Benton County Coroner’s Office.
Rodriguez reportedly shot himself at 11:39 a.m. at the shooting range area of Hole in the Wall at 7509 W. Deschutes Ave., according to police reports. He had rented a 9mm handgun from the business.
It appeared to be a suicide rather than an accidental shooting and a note was found at the scene, according to police. Officials declined to release further information because they said the death is still under investigation.
