Kennewick police are investigating after a suspicious vehicle was found with weapons, police scanners and methamphetamine.

Detectives with the Crime Apprehension Team saw a man walk away from the light blue Honda Accord with Idaho plates at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday night in the 100 block of North Zinser Street, a release said.

When detectives looked in the car’s windows, they saw the weapons and police scanners, leading them to seek a warrant and impound the vehicle.

Officers ended up seizing radio frequency scanners, a handgun, methamphetamine, ski masks and drug paraphernalia.

The man seen walking away from the car has yet to be found.
