Pasco woman cited for negligent driving in Grandview crash
A Pasco woman was injured Saturday afternoon when her sedan hit a guardrail on Interstate 82 in Grandview.
Ana G. Medina-Cruz, 18, was cited for negligent driving in the 1:49 p.m. crash.
The Washington State Patrol said Medina-Cruz’s 2002 Mazda Protege was westbound when it left the highway.
Medina-Cruz then overcorrected, sending the Mazda into the highway barrier, troopers reported.
She was taken to Sunnyside Community Hospital for treatment. It was not disclosed if she was wearing a seat belt in the crash.
Lorenzo A. Medina-Cruz, 1, was properly restrained and was not injured, the report said. However, he also went to the hospital as a precautionary measure.
