Police: Teen breaks into home while woman sleeps

Police arrested a 19-year-old who allegedly broke into a woman’s Kennewick home early Wednesday.

Christopher Austin Cervantes was tracked down near the home on the 900 block of West 14th Place with stolen property, police said.

Police say Cervantes broke into the house while a woman slept and he took off when she woke up.

Officers used a police dog to search the area.

Cervantes was booked into the Benton County jail on suspicion of residential burglary.
