A motorcycle crash Sunday afternoon in downtown Kennewick briefly shut down the intersection at Fruitland Street and Canal Drive.

Details of the crash were not immediately available. The motorcycle’s driver was taken to an undisclosed hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries, a Kennewick police news release said.

The crash is still under investigation, but police said neither alcohol nor drugs appear to be a factor. The intersection was open as of 4 p.m.
