Kennewick police warn parents to monitor social media accounts

Kennewick police are warning parents to monitor their children’s social media accounts after investigating several cases of teens being lured online.

Suspects are making contact with underage victims online and sending messages soliciting sexual contact, police said. Parents should remind their children to be careful when communicating with anyone online, especially strangers.

Anyone with questions or concerns is encouraged to call their local police department.
