A 21-year-old Kennewick man is in jail after he allegedly befriended at least two 15-year-old girls on Facebook and had sex with them.

Jorey Clayton Murray is accused of randomly contacting the girls through Facebook private messenger, starting a conversation and then gaining their trust, said Kennewick police.

He then met the girls in December 2015 and January 2016 and had sex with them in Underwood Park, 2020 W. Seventh Ave., in Kennewick, said police.

An arrest warrant was issued for Murray and on Monday, Kennewick detectives with help from the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office contacted Murray in Oregon. He was arrested on suspicion of three counts of third-degree rape of a child and is in the Clackamas County jail.

Kennewick police believe there may be more victims. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Detective Santoy at 509-582-1352.
