Kennewick man faces DUI after I-82 crash
A 33-year-old Kennewick man is under investigation for driving drunk after he crashed his car Thursday five miles east of Kennewick.
Jesus Alvarez-Mejia was headed west on Interstate 82 in a 1998 Vokswagen Jetta when he lost control and overcorrected at 8:12 p.m., said the Washington State Patrol.
He was not wearing a seat belt and taken to Trios Health with injuries.
WSP investigators say speed was the cause of the crash and he is under investigation for DUI.
