Distracted driving 3-D simulator at mall Friday

​A 3-D simulator showing drivers the dangers of texting and driving will be at Columbia Center mall March 11

AT&T developed the virtual simulator to safely recreate the “eyes-off-the-road and hands-off-the-wheel” experience. Free public demonstrations are planned from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

AT&T started the “It Can Wait” movement to end the deadly practice after a survey found nearly half of adult commuters admitted to texting while driving despite knowing the risks.
