3 injured when SUV crosses Highway 395, crashes into field
A driver and her two passengers were injured Sunday morning when her car crossed the highway and crashed into a field near Connell.
Sherri A. Baumgarner, 52, was cited for improper lane travel in the 5:15 a.m. crash on Highway 395.
According to the Washington State Patrol, Baumgarner was northbound in a 1998 Mercury Mountaineer when it went through the median, across the southbound lanes and into the field.
The state patrol did not report what caused the SUV to veer off the road.
Baumgarner and Janessa D. Baumgarner, 18, both of Myrtle Point, Ore., and Theresa A. Macvittie, 49, of Rapid City, S.D., were taken to Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco for treatment.
