Reports of man armed with a knife lead to arrest
A Pasco man was arrested after police received reports he was armed with a knife and threatening people.
Police were called Monday night to the area of First Avenue and Quay Street.
Several people reported the man was acting suspicious and making threats.
Officers arrived and Geoffrey Hayes, 37, ran away, police said. After a short chase, officers found Hayes hiding in a yard.
Hayes was arrested and booked into the Benton County jail on suspicion of unlawful display of a weapon and harassment.
