Pasco man arrested following hit-and-run crash

A Pasco man was arrested early Monday after police say he was involved in a hit-and-run crash while driving under the influence.

Jose Jorge Sanchez Chavez, 30, was booked into the Franklin County jail following the incident shortly after midnight.

Chavez was allegedly driving a 2000 Dodge Intrepid that ran a stop sign on 10th Avenue, crashed into a parked car, then hit another vehicle parked in a driveway, police said.

He ran from the scene in front of firefighters and was arrested two blocks away, police said.
