A 31-year-old man was arrested overnight Friday for allegedly pointing a BB gun at a motorist and ordering them to keep driving.

Justin M. Langlois reportedly was a passenger in the victim’s car.

The male driver had agreed to give Langlois a ride, but then the passenger pulled out the gun when they arrived at their destination and demanded they keep moving, according to Kennewick police.

The driver believed the BB gun was a real firearm and went to a gas station so he could call 911 at 11:56 p.m., police said.

The incident remains under investigation.

Jail records show Langlois was booked at 2:36 a.m. on suspicion of unlawful imprisonment, a felony. He is being held without bail.
