Police arrested a Franklin County man after he allegedly secretly recorded himself having sex with his girlfriend and posted images of the encounter on her social media accounts, police said.

Police and members of the Tri-City Regional SWAT Team arrested Jose Oliva Jr., 29, on Wednesday morning following a search of a property on the 2700 block of Fir Road in Eltopia.

Oliva was booked into the Benton County jail on suspicion of first-degree extortion.

Oliva allegedly recorded a sexual encounter between him and his 37-year-old girlfriend, police said. The woman apparently had no idea she was being filmed and when she found police say she broke up with Oliva.

Oliva then hacked into several of her social media accounts and changed her profile pictures to a sexually-explicit image from the video, police said. The passwords on her accounts also were changed.

Police say Oliva demanded money from the woman to take the picture down.
