Man hurt in stabbing at Kennewick apartment complex
A 24-year-old man claims he was attacked by a group of men and stabbed near a Kennewick apartment complex.
Randy S. Turner told police he was stabbed Monday about 5:45 p.m. while walking home to the Kamiakin Apartments on West Metaline Avenue.
The Kennewick man had at least three stab wounds and was treated for the non-life threatening injuries at Trios Health in Kennewick.
Police did not find blood at the spot where Turner claims he was stabbed or on the path back to his apartment. Investigators are working to confirm his story.
“We are looking for someone to verify this story one way or another,” said Sgt. Ken Lattin, police spokesman. “Right now we have no evidence to support his story.”
Police did find a large amount of blood inside an apartment where Turner lives with his girlfriend.
No arrests have been made.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Kennewick police at 509-628-0333.
