Franklin County robot helps find stolen vehicle in lake

An underwater robot used by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office helped recover a stolen vehicle that went off a cliff Wednesday into Upper Goose Lake in Grant County.

The driver of the Volkswagen Passat, a suspect in a Royal City burglary, led authorities on a chase into the Columbia National Wildlife Refuge. Divers and the robot found the car, but not the suspect.
