A Richland man was arrested Monday evening in Pasco after a Port of Pasco security officer spotted him in what was later discovered to be a stolen pickup truck.

The security officer called police after seeing Anthony J. Eisele, 38, sitting in the truck parked in the weeds near the corner of Fifth Avenue and River Street, a release said. After police contacted Eisele, they learned the truck was reported stolen during a Richland burglary earlier in the day and reportedly found other evidence in the truck.

Eisele was booked into the Franklin County jail on suspicion of possession of stolen property. Anyone with additional information about the case should call Pasco police at 509-545-3421.
