No injuries but Richland crash still sends child to Kadlec

A 7-year-old girl was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland out of precaution Sunday afternoon following a two-car crash at the intersection of Stevens Drive and Highway 240 in north Richland.

William E. Davis, 74, of Richland, was driving a Dodge Durango, and Abraham Fierros-Bravo, 30, of Mattawa, was in a GMC K-2500 pickup. Both were stopped in the eastbound lane of the highway for the light at the intersection, according to a Washington State Patrol news release. The child was riding in Fierros-Bravo’s truck.

However, Davis started moving too soon and struck the pickup. No one was injured, but the child was still taken to Kadlec. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

Davis was cited for unsafe starting from a parked position.
