Counterfeit bills circulating in Kennewick

Kennewick police are warning residents that counterfeit bills are being used in the community.

One of the bills was for $100 and another was for $50. Police have interviewed suspects in both incidents and the cases are still under investigation.

Anyone who suspects they may have been given a counterfeit bill are encouraged to call police and report it. If someone provides you a large bill you should examine it and try to compare it to another bill you have on hand. If it looks or feels different it is probably fake.
