Grandview teen arrested in store burglary

A 16-year-old Grandview boy was arrested Monday evening in connection with a convenience store burglary, according to Grandview police.

A surveillance camera recorded the burglary at the store, located in the 100 block of East Wine Country Road, police said.

Officers contacted a juvenile who had a knife believed to be stolen in the burglary later that evening, police said.

Police reportedly found numerous items taken in the burglary as well as several items taken in recent thefts from vehicles in an apartment in the 400 block of Nicka Road.

The teen was taken to Yakima County’s juvenile detention center.
