Grandview man arrested in connection with ATM robbery
An 18-year-old Grandview man was arrested on Christmas after a woman was forced to withdraw money from an ATM, according to the Grandview Police Department.
Shortly after midnight Christmas Eve a woman who had just deposited a check into an ATM in the 300 block of East Second Street in Grandview was approached by a man holding a gun who demanded all her money, according to police reports.
Early Christmas morning Grandview police searched a home on the 100 Block of Birch Street in an investigation of an unrelated burglary. They found the gun police believe was used in the armed robbery and the money taken from the victim.
The suspect is being held on suspicion of first degree robbery and second degree assault. The Grandview Police Department did not release his name.
