Richland police involved in child sex sting

Richland police were part of a child sex sting that led to the arrests of 10 suspects.

The operation was based in Pierce County and was a collaborative effort between law enforcement agencies, including the Washington State Patrol, the Missing and Exploited Children Task Force and the FBI.

Law enforcement officers went undercover during the two-week operation to help nab the suspects, who were charged with various sex crimes against children.

The suspects allegedly agreed to meet with the undercover officers, some posing as juveniles, and were arrested.

It doesn’t appear any of the suspects charged are from the Tri-Cities.
