Kennewick police offer drug drop box

Citizens can now drop off unwanted medications in a special box at the Kennewick Police Department.

The agency partnered with the Prosser CIA Coalition to offer the “drug take back” receptacle.

Citizens can drop off unwanted medications at the station from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday to keep the drugs from being abused or from getting into the water treatment system.

The drugs will then be destroyed.
