Driver injured when car hits fence near Connell

Law enforcement is blaming driver inattention for a crash Saturday near the Connell city limits.

Debra Stanciu, 63, of Liberty Lake, was driving south on Highway 395 and lost control of her Kia Spectra as she approached slower traffic, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Her car left the highway and hit a fence at 11:32 a.m. She was taken to Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco, and her car was totaled, according to the state patrol.

The state patrol is considering a charge of second degree negligent driving.
