Tri-City police seek identity of suspected package thief

Police are searching for a 20-year-old man accused of stealing holiday packages from the doorsteps of Tri-City homes.

Andres J. Garcia has allegedly been following UPS trucks in his car, waiting for carriers to drop off packages, then stealing the items, police said.

He has been seen driving a green Ford Taurus.

Richland police reported at least two thefts in which Garcia is a suspect.

Anyone with information on Garcia’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.
