Tri-City DUI patrols to start Dec. 5
Tri-City law enforcement is teaming up during December to crack down on impaired driving.
There will be extra patrols on Tri-City roads starting Dec 5.
Law enforcement officials held a press conference at the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office on Friday to kick off the campaign and honor those who have died in DUI crashes.
The extra patrols are part of a statewide effort to arrest people driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
From 2008 to 2014, a total of 58 people have been killed and 129 injured in DUI collisions, authorities said. Seven people were killed in DUI crashes in 2014.
