Richland police say they’ve arrested a teen they believe is responsible for a string of commercial burglaries.

The suspect is a 17-year-old boy, whose name was not released.

Police Sgt. Darryl Judge said they can tie him to six commercial break-ins and two incidents of malicious mischief. They also arrested two accomplices in connection with one of the burglaries.

Judge said they have been investigating a string of burglaries, mostly focused in the central business district, since the end of September.

He said Friday they were able to connect evidence from the burglaries to evidence found on or with the suspect. Officers say the teen admitted to the break-ins during questioning.
