Police: Shots fired in Richland hotel parking lot

More than a dozen shots apparently were fired from a pistol in the parking lot of a Richland hotel.

Police found 15 shell casings near the M Hotel on George Washington Way about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday after responding to reports of shots being fired.

Authorities searched the area with a police dog, but were unable to find anyone involved in the incident.

Investigators did not find any bullet holes in buildings in the area.
