Man crashes motorcycle into Pasco garage, steals pickup

Police arrested a man accused of crashing a motorcycle into a Pasco garage then stealing a pickup truck.

Christopher Murphy reportedly crashed into a garage on the 4400 block of Galway Lane about 9 p.m. Wednesday, police said. The homeowner, who doesn’t know Murphy, called 911.

Shortly after officers arrived, another 911 call came in about a pickup truck being stolen and the truck’s owner was following the driver in another vehicle, said police.

The truck pulled into Riverview Baptist Church on Wernett Road and Murphy reportedly ran from the truck, police said. An off-duty police officer found Murphy in a shed in the neighborhood.

Murphy was booked into the Franklin County jail on suspicion of auto theft and residential burglary.
