Richland couple reports home invasion by 5 men

Richland police are looking for five men in connection to a Sunday night home invasion.

The men, reportedly in their 20s, entered an unlocked house on the 1100 block of Benham Street, police said. One suspect told a woman at the home that she was being robbed and ordered her to the floor. Police said she refused and tried to confront the men.

Officers were told later that at least one suspect threatened them with a shotgun. Another occupant was pepper sprayed in the face, police said.

The suspects left and ran north on Douglass Avenue before getting in a dark four-door car with tinted windows, police said. A Pasco police dog could not track the suspects.

An unfired 12-gauge shotgun shell was found on the floor of the house.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Richland police at 509-628-0333.
