Service set for Franklin County deputy, wife killed in crash

A memorial service for a Franklin County jail sergeant and his wife who were killed in a car crash last month is scheduled for Nov. 7 at a Pasco church.

Sgt. Len Shure and his wife, JoAn, will be remembered at Grace Point Church on West Court Street. The service will begin at 10 a.m.

The couple were killed Oct. 23 when a large service pickup struck their car on the shoulder of Interstate 82 near Union Gap. They died at the scene.

Shure had worked for the sheriff’s office since 1986. The couple were longtime Pasco residents.
